It seems that the Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, are quarreling over the usual issue - money. There's plenty to argue about too. The Olsen's have been in show business since portraying the youngest Tanner daughter, Michelle, on Full House at the age of 9 months. They were millionaires by their 9th birthday. That was barely the beginning though. Under the guidance of their father David, stepmother McKenzie, and with the help of CEO Robert Thorne, the twins Dualstar Entertainment was worth $300 million by the dynamic duo's 18th birthday. That's when trouble started brewing!

Seems Ashley wanted to take control of the family business. So she organized a coup with the help of her party animal sister Mary Kate. Mary Kate was still brooding that her parents had forced her into Cirque Lodge rehab in Utah, to get help for her eating disorder ("What disorder? It's only a matter of perception, and perception is everything!"). Eager for a measure of revenge (perhaps her only 'dish' in months), Mary backed Ashley, and the pair fired their parents. Robert Thorne was the next head to role.

With mom, dad, and the CEO out of the way, that left no one for the twins to fight with but each other. So the gals took to feuding amongst themselves. One of the major bones of contention was a New York condo that Ashley was determined to unload. Mary wanted to hang on to it. The pad had been the site of so much drunken, drugged out mayhem, and held fond, though hazy memories for MK. Besides, it might even be the site of more hazy memories to come, as Mary Kate liked to crash there when she was on the East Coast. Ashley eventually got her way, though not without a struggle. When MK finally consented to selling the condo, she then put up a fight over the price. Now Mary Kate seems to feel that Ashley has gotten too big for her britches, well metaphorically speaking anyway.

Though revenge is sweet, like so many other dishes, it was to 'come back' on Mary Kate. Now she's wondering if firing her parents was the right idea. Sher feels that revenge and emotion colored her judgment. Besides, business was never MK's scene. Ashley was the one who thrived on it, studying Dualstars' prospecti, and reviewing the options on a daily basis even as a child. Mary Kate just liked to have fun. Dealing with her hard headed sister in daily business negotiations can cut into party time. It can even be a pain, as when Ashley took umbrage with the new Olsen Twins' clothing line. Ashley thinks that the selections look trashy, and she blames Mary Kate for that. Now that's a low blow. It sure might help to have mom and dad on board, to stand up to little bully Ashley!
